Kyosei-Kan (Collaboration Complex)

Keio University Kyosei-kan, the Collaboration Complex was built as a part of the Keio University’s 150th Anniversary Commemorative Projects. This is an academic complex of Keio University open to the public, which fosters the zest of various people for living in collaboration with each other, provides them with a place to gather and interact with each other, and leads the way for collaboration between Keio University and the community.

Through the 150th Anniversary Commemorative Projects, Keio University aspired to become a university that is open to the public with a focus on independence and collaboration as a basic concept. Kyosei-kan, the Collaboration Complex was completed in August, 2008 as a place to foster <i>kyosei</i>, the zest of people for living in collaboration with each other.

Kyosei-kan houses three independent graduate schools. In addition, there are facilities accessible to all for various people regardless of nationality, age, and of of whether they are students, faculty, and staff of Keio University or not.

Kyosei-kan, the Collaboration Complex, open to the society and rooted in the community, is a new stage for Keio University to take up the challenge of various activities.

Kyosei-kan, the Collaboration Complex Building was inspected by the standard of CASBEE, Comprehensive Assessment System for Building Environment Efficiency, by Yokohama City as the first case of its kind among all municipalities in Japan, and was rated S rank as an eco-friendly building.
